Paul Winter's 26th Annual Winter Solstice Celebration: 50% Off for MAA members and residents

Morningside Area Alliance employees/students/residents are entitled to a discount of 50 percent off general admission tickets to a performance of Paul Winter's 26th Annual Winter Solstice Celebration, at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, December 15 to 17.

One of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine's most popular annual secular events, it firmly takes its place among the great, lasting Holiday traditions of New York and National Public Radio.

A musical, theatrical, dance and environmental spectacle, the multicultural, ecumenical performance celebrates the triumph of light over darkness during the Holidays.

Special guests include the Dmitri Pokrovsky Ensemble, Russian village singers and dancers, and the Forces of Nature Dance Theater Ensemble, African-American dancers and percussionists. Also featured will be Renato Braz, a Brazlian MPB singer; and spectacular special effects symbolizing the Sun, the Earth, and the solstice tree.
