New Leaders at MAA Institutions

Over the past three years, nine of the seventeen MAA institutions have announced the arrival of new presidents! Following the arrival of Lee Bollinger as president at Columbia, each year has brought more new leaders to Morningside Heights and with it, a new era for the Morningside Heights Community and for the Alliance. Each of the new leaders brings their new perspective rooted in their expansive and highly talented academic and intellectual experiences. We welcome each of them into our community! Morningside Heights continues to reflect an extraordinary alliance of world renowned educational, medical, spiritual and community organizations.

The new leaders include:

Barnard College - Dr. Debora L. Spar
St Luke’s Hospital -Dr. Frank Cracolici
Union Theological Seminary - Dr. Serene Jones
Jewish Theological Seminary - Arnold Eisen
Manhattan School of Music - Robert Sirota
Riverside Church- Rev. Thomas Stiers (interim)
