AMSTERDAM NURSING HOME

Amsterdam Nursing Home (Amsterdam House) is a 409-bed skilled nursing facility serving the elderly of New York City, especially the Upper West Side. It was founded in 1872 by the Reverend Dr. Isaac H. Tuttle and known as the Home for Old Men and Aged Couples. It has continued to serve the elderly since that time. Amsterdam offers long-term care, short term care, and an Adult Day Health Care program in a beautiful, home-like environment. It is affiliated with New York Presbyterian Healthcare System and Hospital for Special Surgery. Amsterdam is rated as one of the best skilled nursing facilities in the region.
